Jessup Moot

The Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (“Jessup Moot”) is regarded around the world as the most prestigious competition for law students.

Over a period of months, students prepare oral and written submissions addressing legal issues arising from a set of facts concerning public international law matters. The University of Western Australia has competed in the Jessup Moot since the early 1980s.

UWA won the international Jessup Cup in 2003 and was the international runner-up in 1995 and 2002.

Law alumni can help our Jessup team by:

  • Making a donation (choose Jessup Moot from the drop-down menu). By making a donation, you will be invited to come along to the cocktail party for Jessup supporters, family and friends.
  • Volunteering to be a practice judge.
  • Coming along to support the team at practice moots or if you are in Washington at the competition!

To offer practical support contact the Dean's Executive Assistant on 6488 2949.
