The Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (“Jessup Moot”) is regarded around the world as the most prestigious competition for law students.
Over a period of months, students prepare oral and written submissions addressing legal issues arising from a set of facts concerning public international law matters. The University of Western Australia has competed in the Jessup Moot since the early 1980s.
UWA won the international Jessup Cup in 2003 and was the international runner-up in 1995 and 2002.
