A variety of short, intensive units for students studying a Graduate Diploma or Master's in Criminal Justice are offered each year on a rotating basis.

 *SJD (Doctor of Juridical Science) Students wishing to enrol in LAWS8546 and LAWS8539, please contact the Centre for the Unit Code.

  • Students, on application, may also undertake the Research Paper LAWS8574 (equivalent to 6 points of study/one coursework unit)
  • Masters students may also undertake the 12 point research paper (equivalent to two coursework units taken over the whole academic year) by enrolling over two semesters, in Research Paper Pt 1 LAWS8563 and Research Paper Pt 2 LAWS8571

Please note:

  • Students must not enrol in a research paper unit until they have discussed the suitability and relevance of a potential topic with Director of Studies and are allocated a supervisor
  • Enrolment is conditional on the availability of an appropriate supervisor

Suitably qualified students may apply for permission to undertake units in Master/Graduate Diploma in Forensic Science or related Masters of Laws units however permission must first be obtained from the Faculty Administrative Officer and Director of Studies in each department before enrolling.

The University reserves the right not to offer or to withdraw a unit in a particular year if the number of students who have enrolled in that unit makes it unviable or if, for other reasons, it is not possible to offer the unit.
