Bartley Peter and Nellie Kakulas Scholarship
Bart Kakulas QC and Nellie Kakulas have donated a sum of money to establish this fund to provide a scholarship to facilitate progress and provide encouragement to a level two or three student in the Faculty of Law. A scholarship of $2000 is available in 2008, tenable for one year only and paid in two instalments, one at the beginning of each semester. Students must demonstrate academic merit, an interest in Law and financial need. Value: $2000.00.

Cecil Bedford Thompson Brown Memorial Bursary
Miss Liz Bedford-Brown having agreed to donate $200 annually in memory of her father, Cecil Bedford-Brown, to provide bursaries to help support undergraduates in Law, a fund is established for the purpose. Each bursary is called a Cecil Bedford Thompson Brown Memorial Bursary in Law and is awarded in accordance with the following regulations. Value: $200.00.

Linda Cotton (Vatskalis) Memorial Scholarship
Family, friends and colleagues of Linda Cotton (Vatskalis) have donated money to establish the Linda Cotton (Vatskalis) Memorial Fund. The Cotton family has requested that the fund be used to enable a student enrolled in a unit in the Bachelor of Laws degree course which includes discussion of Indigenous issues, to undertake a project that relates to the student’s demonstrated interest in the relationship between the Australian legal system and the Indigenous peoples of Australia. The scholarship is established and administered in accordance with the following conditions.
Applications are called for the Linda Cotton (Vatskalis) Memorial Scholarship for the 2008 academic year. You need to be currently enrolled in law and have completed Contract I and II, Criminal Law I and II, Property I and II, Torts 1 and II, and Legal Process. Value: $900.00.

The Honourable Serge Ferrier Family Law Bursary
Members of the family of the late Hon. Serge Ferrier, a graduate of The University of Western Australia and formerly a Judge of the Family Court of Western Australia, having agreed to donate the sum of $4000 annually to provide an undergraduate bursary, the Honourable Serge Ferrier Family Law Bursary is established and is administered in accordance with the following regulations.
The Bursary is open to students enrolled full-time in the year 2008 in the Bachelor of Laws course or in a combined course which includes a course for the degree of Bachelor of Laws, and who are enrolled in LAWS3376 Introduction to Family Law in the year 2008. Value: $4,000.00.

Ciara Glennon Memorial Law Scholarship
Blake Dawson Waldron, Barristers and Solicitors, having agreed to donate annually to provide an undergraduate scholarship in memory of the late Ciara Eilish Glennon, a graduate of The University of Western Australia, the Ciara Glennon Memorial Law Scholarship is established and shall be administered in accordance with the following regulations. Value: $7,500.00.

Jennifer Inkster Memorial Law Scholarship
Family members, colleagues, past students and other friends of the late Ms Jennifer Inkster having made donations to establish a fund in her memory for the purpose of providing a scholarship, to be called the Jennifer Inkster Memorial Law Scholarship, the fund and the scholarship are established and are administered in accordance with the following conditions.
Open to female Law students enrolled full-time in the first year of an LLB course or a combined course which includes a course for the degree of Bachelor of Laws. Value: $1,200.00.
