Transfering to Law at UWA
If I do not get a place in Law at UWA can I transfer at a later date?
No, it is not simply a matter of transfer. You must apply again through TISC and compete for a place in the appropriate category. If you were unsuccessful in gaining a place in law and accepted a place in another course at UWA or at another institution, you may apply for entry in a later year through either Category B (if you complete the other course) or through Category C (if you do not complete the other course). Previous studies will be taken into consideration and you will need to have achieved solid grades to be competitive for selection.
It is likely you will gain credit for units completed from a recognised Law degree, but this will be confirmed and formalised only after an offer and acceptance has been made and is subject to University rules.
If you haven't completed a degree yet
You must apply in Category C through TISC.
You are ineligible to apply for a combined course at UWA, as this is only available to school leavers (Category A). However, if you are accepted in to the School through Category C you will be able to select a combined course of your choice (subject to meeting any pre-requisites) OR enrol in a straight undergraduate Bachelor of Laws degree course.
If you have completed a degree already
You must apply in the graduate category (Category B) through TISC.
Can I transfer from another course at UWA to Law?
No. A student who is currently studying another course at UWA who wishes to study Law instead must apply through TISC in Category C. |
