Faculty of Law

Law and Public Policy

Further information

Most areas of law are inter-twined with questions of public policy.

The centre pursues projects that draw on legal and other traditions, including political, historical and sociological perspectives, to analyse issues of contemporary social and legal concern.

The centre's priority areas are still under development, but will reflect consultations with interested parties. Likely priority areas include:

  • environmental sustainability
  • Australias ageing population
  • disability and the law
  • Indigenous law and justice issues
  • accountability and transparency in government.

The centre provides a forum for scholarly, professional and public debate.
