Law School

Dean's Welcome

Welcome to the UWA Law School
Established in 1927, UWA Law School is Western Australia’s oldest Law School and home to the oldest university law review in Australia.

The Law School has a long and proud heritage of graduating generations of remarkable alumni and are constantly exploring and introducing innovative programs, curricula and teaching methods, responding to current trends and future challenges, to ensure this legacy continues.

We have an exceptional and diverse team of talented and committed staff delivering outstanding legal education and producing research of the highest international standards across a wide range of areas.
Aside from our flagship professional law degree, the Juris Doctor, we offer our students numerous opportunities to study law and engage with experts and leaders in multiple areas of law both at the undergraduate level through our Business Law and Law and Society majors and at the postgraduate level through our extensive suite of postgraduate courses for lawyers and non-lawyers.  Our courses provide our students with the knowledge, expertise and skills needed for a broad array of diverse careers, nationally and internationally.
With a key focus on internationalisation, our students and staff benefit from strong international partnerships and associations with leading law schools across the globe including in the United Kingdom, North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

We look forward to connecting with you and invite you to explore the exciting and challenging opportunities available at the Law School.
